ByteDance Confirms US Talks on TikTok After Trump Gives 75-Day Extension for Deal to Save App ByteDance confirmed it’s in discussions with the US government about plans to keep TikTok running in the US. For the second time now, US President Donald Trump extended a deadline for the Chinese company to divest the app’s American operations. The latest extension permits the president to give a “one-time extension of not more than 90 days.
