Google Blasts Chrome Sale as ‘Extreme’ Remedy at Odds With Law Google on Friday labelled the US Justice Department's plan to sell its web browser as "extreme" and legally flawed, cautioning a judge against stifling future innovation. In a court filing, the search giant proposed its own remedy, arguing the Chrome sale doesn't match the illegal conduct involving exclusive contracts with browsers, manufacturers, and carriers.
