Authenticator App Reportedly Uses App Store Advertising to Scam Users, Collects Secret QR Codes Soon after Twitter announced that it was turning off support for SMS-based two-factor authentication for users without a Twitter Blue subscription, copycat 2FA apps have reportedly appeared on Apple's App Store, charging users up to $40 (roughly Rs. 3,300) in annual charges.
