Elon Musk Defiantly Defends Himself in Tesla Shareholder Trial Over 'Funding Secured' Tweet Elon Musk on Tuesday defended himself against a class action lawsuit filed by Tesla shareholders over his 2018 "funding secured" tweets about a possible buyout of Tesla that never took place. He spent much of his testimony depicting himself as a trustworthy business leader capable of raising as much money as he needs to pursue his visions.
