Fortnite Maker Epic Games to Shut Down Houseparty Video Chat App in October Epic Games has decided to discontinue the Houseparty social video chat app. The app that was released in 2016 has already been removed from App Store and Google Play.  Existing users can continue to use it until the service is fully shut down in October.
