The story follows an Australian fugitive named Lin Ford, taking refuge in 1980s Bombay, India, as he navigates through remarkable events in the country. Shantaram is based on the 2003 novel of the same name by Gregory David Roberts, and is set to premiere on October 14 on Apple TV+.
